The Canaidan Society for Civil Engineering UVic Chapter is holding a Virtual Industry Night event on June 8th at 5:00pm PST via Zoom. We will be hosting about 15 companies who will share some of their most interesting project work and share information of prospective co-op and full-time opportunities.
We will also have some prizes to win so don't miss out on this all-round opportunity to connect with civil employers.
We will be sharing further details about the event in the coming weeks, however, feel free to register for the event and join our chapter as a member using the links below:

The kind folks at PCL and the City of Victoria did us a great courtesy arranging a couple sets of bridge tours for our engineering cohort. The complexity and scope of the project was truly awe inspiring and we all left with a greater appreciation and a deeper pool of knowledge about our discipline. Thanks to Heather at the City of Victoria for some of the photographs.

High school students from all about the lower island graced our campus with their youthful exuberance. We gave them a quick overview of what our program can offer as well as provided them with a fun activity illustrating one of the key components in construction: insulation.

The BBQ Mixer held in the Ceremonial Hall at the First Peoples House was a great occasion to meet some industry leads, chow down on some delicious eats, and chat with fellow civil engineers. Keynote speakers involved the leaders of the local native communities and the leaders of the respective engineering firms engaged in projects within those communities.
